About Susan

Susan Mahan’s undergraduate degree in Art/Education is from Miami University and she subsequently earned a Master”s Degree from Xavier University where she also has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Art Department. Her career as a high school art teacher lasted 33 years. She taught for 25 years at Mariemont High School in suburban Cincinnati until retirement in 2006 to pursue a career as a full time artist. Since that time she has participated in numerous juried shows and events.

Her work is in many private collections as well as the corporate collection of P&G. For the past two years she has completed work for the Cincinnati Zoo and last year her work was selected to be used for banners in Springfield Township. She has won numerous awards.

She maintains a studio at the Pendleton Art Center in downtown Cincinnati.
